Dear Fellow Snowmobiler,
We are writing this letter to you as we sit here anxiously awaiting these increasingly cooler nights to slowly turn into snow! Now I know some of you may not be wishing this beautiful summer weather away yet and we aren’t either, but we are starting to get prepared for what hopes to be another exciting year of snowmobiling! With that being said, we are starting our preparations for our 27th Annual Snow Ride and would like to communicate with you where we will be going.
This year our ride will be heading to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to Calumet where we will be staying at the AmericInn. For those of you that have been on this ride with us over the years you may recognize this hotel as one where we have stayed before. This hotel is rated as one of the best in the Upper Peninsula and is always very accommodating for us and our group. The hotel is also located conveniently on the trail system which will allow our groups to leave right from the hotel parking lot.
To give a little background to those who haven’t been snowmobiling in Keweenaw Peninsula before, this will be a ride you won’t forget! With the massive amounts of snowfall that the Keweenaw receives every year you won’t ever have to worry about riding a bare trail. Along with the beautiful white trails that are groomed twice daily, you will also have an abundance of beautiful white covered trees lining almost every mile of your ride. The rural landscape of the Keweenaw allows for what seems like endless snowmobiling as roads, cities, and townships are few and far between. Due to fact that almost the entire Peninsula has been untouched by man, it offers endless breathtaking views and scenic overlooks of Keweenaw Point, Brockway Mountain, and Lake Superior. So quit putting this dream trip on hold and join us for an unforgettable ride!
This year we are expanding our ride into a new market to accommodate the fastest growing segment in the snowmobile industry. We are excited to announce that this year we will be creating another riding group in addition to our trail rider groups for those who only want to ride “off-trail” or also known as “boondocking.” Riding with this group will give you off-trail riders the adrenaline pumping fun you desire while still being able to create new relationships and learn about some of the hidden honey holes that the Upper Peninsula possesses. The Keweenaw has long been regarded as the BEST off-trail riding in the Midwest so finding snow, technical terrain, and fun won’t be hard at all!
The dates for our ride this year will be January 26nd through the 28th and checking out on the 29th. This all-inclusive package will include 3 nights of Lodging; a get acquainted cocktail party (drinks and h'ordeuvres/appetizers included) on Thursday evening, a hotel deluxe continental breakfast Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning, and a Saturday evening buffet dinner (drinks also included). Riding with one of our guided groups is complimentary but NOT REQUIRED. You can choose to ride on your own either on-trail or off-trail and just join us for dinner, drinks, and conversation (and maybe some stories too). For this all-inclusive winter vacation you will only be responsible for $475.00 which is for 2 people/1 room. We would appreciate a $250.00 deposit by October 31st for confirmation of attendance for the hotel.
