Features of ATVs

ATVs are ridden in a similarly to a motorcycle, with the rider straddling the seat and controlling the vehicle using the handlebars. ATVs and motocross bikes share many traits, such as powerful engines and lightweight frames, due to both being designed for off-road riding. The main difference between the two is that ATVs have four wheels. 

As off-road vehicles, ATVs usually come equipped with general-purpose tires that can handle most kinds of terrain, which some riders choose to swap out for tires designed for specific conditions, like snow or sand. ATVs usually only have room for one passenger, though some models do have room for two. 

Uses for ATVs

While four-wheelers are usually thought of as a vehicle for adrenaline junkies, some people use them for more utilitarian purposes, like getting around a huge property with ease or as a towing vehicle.
